A day of good deeds....

Woke up...and He showed me that there's more to this world than myself....

if i can tell u one good advice...its tt when u are feeling poor, give away some money to a man sitting on a street or to a blind buskin in a tunnel.

Treat your conscience to their daily,weekly or monthly "reboot"....dun get desensitized by the surroundings. If you let yourself be be numbed by the repetitions of life, one day you'll wake up and find yourself walkin past a blind, a crippled, an orphan, a homeless and realising that you don't feel a thing. In fact you wont even know whether that day came, cuz it doesn change abruptly...its like looking through a frosted glass to watch the sunrise. We get so caught up in the sunrise that we do not realise the morning dew on the window pane slowly fading away.

anyway, the only way to stop feeling down is to realise that somewhere out there someone is in need of help, someone who is worse off than you. Someone who, if you're willing to get your sorry ass to stop thinking only about your sad day, you can help and cheer up! and in the process...feel good about yourself:) And both of you will be happy! tada=)

Cuz....He taught me that lesson today...twice in a row! He's helping me to pick up my nonsense=)

Saturday Drums...Dinner and Nanny Mc Phee=)

Well, one of the 2 girls will be leavin our class...(yeah, rocker chicks huh?:P) anyway, i shall talk a bit about my drum class. Let's start with the girls....there are 2 girls, one's takin her As this yr (hence leavin us....for awhile?) and the other is currently studyin mass comm now. For the guys...we have a wide wide range...there's dion (btw i dunno how to spell all of their names, only pronounce) who just joined us, 2 cousins--Philip & Jonathan, who are seemingly very quiet, An old happy jap guy who is very dilligent:) An NUS Professor--Mr E or Yee? He teaches Biochem? or is it Biotech? sumthg like tt....He never fails to ask abt how im doin in NUS and alwasy wishes me good luck for the CAs.=) and guo dong, a quiet boy=)

Well, considering that i hardly talked to any of em during lessons or after, it was a nice surprise tt pearlyn actualli asked me to join em for dinner after drum lessons to say goodbye to Eudora.

Okay, a rather interesting conversation churned out during our short dinner...im goin to turn out to be a bald, fat old man who will turn ice-cream around whenever i eat it...=P

Anyway, goodbye Eudora. All the best for ur As! Tho we hardly talk during lessons, ur laffs and smiles will be missed by the class!:)

ANYWAY!..i met ivan the maulana! haha he looked so different in his cool mat outfit. here's a foto of us. We wanted to sign up for sum ORA raffles trail tog. i think ill be goin back w em on ora=)

Nanny McPhee with claire after tt....quite a nice show....Disney feel good kinda movie, cld be a little longer tho. Tired day tho...haha...so we just plopped and watched and den went home...

STUDY!!! arrrrgggh....cant wait for this to be over.

Swingstar

Here's my white Tama Swingstar....heh. got it from a disillusioned middle aged drummer, who wanted to turn pro with his band but ended up going thru mid-life crisis and marryin a girl. (try saying tt sentence in one breath) Haha....so i got the whole set REAL cheap...200 bucks..and it was WHITE summore! why? cuz he said i sounded like the most promising buyer...not in terms of money (duh)...but in terms of passion, hope, determination, sumone who will take care of his drumset, (and talent? haha:P jk), cuz i kept bugging him like crazy....for days:P

i even drove down to his house to transport the drumset back myself:P (more cuz i was scared he'll sell it away to sumone else

its in perfect condition...:) wads more was i got it REAL CHEAP....haha...200 dollars!! or was it 250? wadever it was...its been in my room since:P bang, boom, chiang

Miss playin in small groups in the past...and also playing with ahmad...in rj band room..but sumhow never bothered to play in front of pple or do any performance...hmm

At least the anat group's super on...think we're gonna perform for DND:P

New Day.....

Life seem sooo much brighter now....decided to leave behind excess baggage and other stuff:)

Feeling much lighter now. At least my conscience is clear!:) and i know i haf betrayed noone and my faith has been good to me:) But i must be discpiline now...must stay away from all the vices...it's like gambling, it sooo bad for you, the more u put time and effort into it, the more you lose......one must be ready to face up and admit the fact tt its bad and detrimental to one's life, stop it, be discipline....and dun ever entertain the thot of going back. Yes..=D

Let's see.....i've set up my drums:) I'm in my room:) My dad has called the carpenter:) I'm gonna design my bed...wooh:P

and the house is almost finished with its renovations:)

most of all...i think my driving is getting better and better by the day..and my parents are trusting me more with the car...like yesterday, i told my mum that i needed to go to skl and asked whether i cld use the car. The story of Autumn and Winter.

We live in a world of many individuals, many beliefs, many cultures and many emotions. Feelings come and go like the wind, surroundings change, slowly but surely, just like snow falling on an open field, lives go on even in the darkest hour, just as trees shed their leaves at the end of Autumn in preparation for Winter.

We live in a world of many seasons.

This story is about how Autumn fell for Wnter.

Autumn was a frisky fellow. He had a free spirit and nothing in the world could hold him down. He believed in change and would never be satisfied with status quo. In fact everything about him was almost in a state of transition. To those out to have some fun, Autumn provided them with bubbly entertainment. For others out to seek some quiet solace, Autumn seemed the perfect soulful companion too. In short Autumn seemed to reflect the mood of anyone and everyone he met. He was a colourful person, always bustling with activity and life, but at the same time, offering a side of him for those in need of some protection from the daily noise.

This was the multi-faceted side of Autumn, someone who people found something like themselves in.

As time passed, Autumn grew up and, one day, came across a girl. She was as fair as snow and seemed to be as silent as the night. When she walked across the room, it was as if time stood still. She was not like anyone that Autumn had come across before, she seemed to portray a cool, almost icy exterior that tempted people to try and melt to see if they could have the honor of seeing her laugh. Her beauty was flawless and perfect, she seemed to live in a world of her own, never seeming to be disturbed by her surroundings. Whatever the world did, or changed into, she seemed to take everything in her stride. She never lost her composure, it seemed as though she just let things slide pass her. She was as calm as an undisturbed lake on a cold winter's day, reflecting the ever-changing world around her. The captivating thing about her was how she always stood tall and graceful, but at the same time exuded a fragile, almost vulnerable aura around her. Maybe it was because she rarely smiled or maybe it was because of how she had a wonderful gaze and the fact that she rarely made eye contact was even more mysterious, but whatever it was, she was capitivating.

Upon setting his eyes on her, Autumn immediately fell for her. But he knew nothing about her, nor who she was. Unknown to him, Autum had also caught the eye of this quiet girl. As time passed, they got to know each other better and slowly he got to know her name----Winter. They got closer and eventually fell in love with each other. Throughout the time they spent together, Autumn slowly learnt how to melt Winter's cool exterior and also felt an undescribable joy when he saw the warmth that shone from within her. Likewise, Winter showed him a quiet and silent strength that existed within him. She showed him and slowly changed him into someone who appreciated the small unnoticed things in life, and to appreciate the importance of quiet solace.

However as days passed, Autumn and Winter realised that they always seemed to be short of time to do whatever they wanted and that they seemed to be short on each others' temper. It was as though time was running out for both of them. No matter how hard Autumn fought, it seemed like he was either losing himself or somehow winter seemed further away from him. As each day passed, they grew weaker, short tempered, and tired of everything around them.

Slowly but surely, Autumn and Winter drifted apart. For it seemed that by being with Autumn, Winter had to change who she was and she wasn't ready for that, it was as though she saw a side of her melt away with each passing day when she was with him. As for him, being with her meant that he had to slowly slide into the silence of loneliness, into a world where he had to shed all the colours he once enjoyed, as a free spirit. Sure, he learnt to apprecate the silence, maybe even more now, which is why he rarely sleeps at night, thinking about the things in his life in the shadows of his four walls. As for her, being with him meant that she had to slowly lose her quiet nature and lose the protection of her cool distant life. Her only protection from hurt was in her aloof and somewhat cold exterior to the world, but Autumn on the other hand was totally different. He was trusting and ever-changing, and likewise, being with Winter meant that Autumn had to give up his bustling life and also his outward, overly-friendly ways. His colorful ways had to be toned down to various shades of grey. In short, they were as different as sky and ground and as night and day.

Eventually, Winter withdrew back into the protection of her cold shadows and Autumn went back to his old ways. However, Autumn could never stop thinking of her nor reminscence about the times they shared. Deep down, he knew that a part of him will belong to Winter. In fact, he knew that a large part of him had slowly become Winter. Sometimes, Autumn would wonder what if he gave his all and shedded everything he had, whether he would be able to find winter. Somehow he knew he would, because he knew that if he tried hard enough, he too could become just like her. But that would mean he would lose who he was. He would no longer be Autumn.

For now, all Autumn can hope for is pray that Winter know of his love. That through the warm days, the silent nights, the trying moments and the tiring struggles, she will remember him and realise that maybe, just maybe, the Winter she has become was because of Autumn---a boy who was in between the warmth of summer and the silence of winter, a boy who fell for a girl named Winter

Why don't i know any cute girls?? haha....

(by the way...that sentence comes with its own small print, terms & conditions and qualifiers=P)

spent the evening takin a break.....after tackling a bit of cvs and a bit of respi in the afternoon:P heh...

realli realli nice to have caught up with all the guys n sabrina=)...catchin a GREAT MOVIE!!!! playing games....having an urban jungle picnic=P and den supper at fong seng=)

anyway..we couldnt decide between kenny rogers or country manna for dinner...but both were ridiculously expensive. however, determined not to be outdone...we all trooped down to cold storage..and had our own western dinner...haha. 2 WHOLE black pepper chicken...plus 2 racks of pork ribs...wooh:P haha

oh, here's a pic of the nice aunty who gave us a deal on the pork ribs....BUY ONE GET ONE FREE...haha...i dint know u cld bargain at cold storage...den again...we dint even bargain..haha...but it was pretty late..and i guess they wld have thrown the extras away anw:P

Oh, before we started digging into the meal, we visited the toilet to wash our hands..(among other stuff). in the end...i had to take some fotos...cuz the place had sum serious funky design....it was like some egyption place...sheesh....haha

ok....m18...ok, kids, if ur below 18..see tt "X" on the top right hand corner of the screen, yeah, click on it...yes, tt button! anyway, all the girls who haven been to a guys toilet? tts a urinal=)..haha

after which it was TUCK IN!!

anyway.....v for vendetta was GOOD....it was GREAT!...actually i think it was FANTASTIC...haha....go catch it....had a nice little saga at the cinema ticketing booth too:P with the nice ticketing girl:) hehe..glad we chose v in the end=)

after a nice short supper at fong seng, it was a nice short walk back to our individual hostels.....=)

sigh...i love hostel life....

and i got IPPT to do....bleagh...must haf been someone who made noise...tt means i need to start getting fit again:S...bleagh

and i haf a sad life...i haf resorted to listening to other pples' love stories...and stories of pple ruba-in others at clubs...and sorry lar...i dint noe wad wass ruba...!

and other WOW stories! like WOW!!! haha

Sunday....Family Day

Brought my mum and family to Shima for lunch. Drove em there after church. It's a jap tepanyaki restaurant, a pretty nice place....glad she liked it=) Happy Birthday mummy!=) tho its still a bit early=P

Slept in the afternoon....then woke up to catch a movie with my family again:P watched I not stupid 2..

honestly...its bloody good....i realli realli liked tt show...!!!

meaningful...and i could relate to a lot of the issues tt the movie dealt with. not bad...jack neo realli handled the topics deftly=)

Sun, Sand, Sea....and wonderful company=)

Perfect!

Had tons and tons of fun today....at Sentosa.

Met up with tons of pple...pple from lijia and yiuming's anat group, sum of the usual pple, and other pple whom we invited...like weiming and hon.

played volleyball, frisbee, soccer, sea-monkey, plus chilling out in the sea talkin to guys=) and ending the day with a nice warm dinner.

sigh.....today was really one fantastic day=)

playing volleyball with super fun and buff lifeguards, under the setting sun.....bullying frens while playing sea-monkey=P sorry hon...haha. sitting/lying in the shallow waters with zh, qt n wm talkin about anything under the sun (pun! haha)

most of all it was so nice to meet up with frens....esp certain pple=)

i just love living in hostel. It is fantastic!

Please give me enough points to stay in a good hall next year!

And to you, you and you! hope all of you will be staying in hall next year!=)
