Thursdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay=)

haha......wonder why the many "a"s? cuz it was one looooooong day...but a very good one---packed from morning to night=P. May have felt a bit down here and there, but pple definitely cheered me up=) anyway....here are fotos of the day, shant elaborate much=)

Zhihan lookin angry cuz lynette forgot to return his stuff for the umpteenth time..haha! and lynette tryin to look apologetic=P here's lynette "playing" with the babies....(ten million miles away)

after breakfast, there was sum last minute changes, and zhihan and i decided to ningyan's house!! I finally got to see his house! the architecture was realli quaint! a pretty interesting design i must say!=) and i finally got to see his famous toilet!:P

After some singing and stumming of guitars, we den went for bball practice:) MUNUS tmr=P

Then it was a mad rush to get to the jamming studio on time...=P

Finally...had a surprise visit from hweeying and selene! Wonderful company! Thank you for everything:)

A day of nice pple, with nice advices=) glad tt the ogl camp went smoothly:) will be lookin forward to seeing the juniors:)

After the day ended:P we decided not to stay in the chalet.....so a bunch trooped off to the east for some roti prata in kembangan=)

After supper, the guys came over to my place...the girls to lynette's.....n liyana over to hweeying's place:P

Happy Birthday Celene!!

Nice day:)

Woke up...ate sum lunch. Watched an interesting reality tv thing on hy's recommendation while we were waiting for my mum to come back. So tt i cld get the car and drive to skl. THX Mummy! (and sorry!=P)

After which, we finally bought our hard drives too!! wooh:) 80GB. haha=) now i can safely store all my photos and songs into my hard drive! wooh:) finally=) Pretty cheap too:P With a decent case too:)

Well, we den met up with jeffrey and li for a quick dinner. Then it was onto timbre for Celene's Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Celene! Well, hope one day we could give you ur *special* bday present:P haha! til den....dream abt it k?=P Thx for the invite! and ur right, the band was realli good! May u haf a blessed and wonderful year ahead!

Different people.

They find it hard to admit wrong or apologize---because they hate being wrong, they think it'll affect how they look, or their ego just plainly prevents em from thinking properly. They tend to be stubborn, because they dun wanna try sumthg they arent confident at. They may do a loooot of things but may not be happy in life. However, they definitely dun let pple noe they are unhappy of their own doing. All tt matters is pple *think* highly of em."

Monday Blues?

Haha...Nope.
Work in the morning was pretty....erm...nicely-paced=P. Decided to call David while eating breakfast. I was kidding when i asked him to join us for sum nas lemak. Obviously, he declined.

About 1 hr later, he smses me to say he'll be takin a bus down from his camp to ours for nasi lemak...!?!?!?! Haha. so the 4 of us gathered in our "office"=P Where we gave David a short insight into the life of the 3 Hqmc pple. No surprise wad David had for lunch:P

Anyway, guess who all of us bumped into after work? and at different times too... Honlyn! haha! First was David, who was in his mum's car. He then smsed me to say he saw her....almost at the same time, hon called. So we met up outside the camp for a short while...after which we both went our seperate ways. Much later, when i picked up ben, he too said he bumped into her at the traffic light. Haha...told her the lsas cld always eat lunch with her the next time she has tuition there.

Then it was onto some Basketball at NUS=) Was dying after a few short games...unfit!=P

After which, i got picked up by claire at NUS, cuz she needed sum help in designin her new house and i was to help her choose sum furniture and sandpaper/paint her new room's furniture. Well, after sandpapering her cupboard, I am officially damn tired now. But i hope everything turns out nicely=)

Was supposed to go for sum supper with joel, but was informed too late, so cldnt make any plans---no time nor transport. Which was a good thing i guess, cuz i dun think i had enuf energy to even eat...haha...guess ill go sleep now...*yawns*. Good night!=)

I'm an archie...tt sucks.

HAHA!! I'm actually readin comics (from sabby).....and i realise Archie is a dumbass. He realli doesn noe wads good for him!

Let's see....woke up and went to church. Prayin is good....I prayed for peace (not the Miss World-world peace kind) and a certain sumthg, which He sumhow has been answering. But i think i'm refusin to see that particular answer. Maybe i shld just follow how He makes me feel.

Came back and had a nice lunch den walk with my parents. Went house hopping. We were bored so we went from street to street goin into newly built houses, houses tt were still being built, or houses tt were on sale. We did it to see the architecture and the design of the houses=P and MY GOD, wad on earth happened to those architects/designers for those houses? sheesh.....they were so crappily designed...actualli it was more of my dad who was complainin to my mum..and my mum was just blur blur in a cute way...like "wads with this space? why is it railed away? and why the glass make the room so small? and how come got such a large space which dey dun use? or why got 2 glass panels in this room?" etc etc...

But its sooo true....sum designs today are soo retarded, dey try outlandish designs in a bid to attract/excite/explode/interest/gain publicity, but they do so at the stake of functionality and practicality. It's not as hard to make a crazy or nice house...as it is to make a nice house that encompasses pratcallity. Well, as they say with conversationalists and writers, the best artistes in their craft are those who can express their intended beauty/purpose with the least words. For me...design is at is most when it's at its least....=)

Well, came back and my mum told me..."Boy, I got sumthg for u to do! We are goin to renovate our kitchen, backyard....erm..the whole level 1. I want you to design it for me!"

WHAO!! haha!

So i sat down...brainstormed...talked to em....called up a few of my archi seniors (asked wad was legal and possible. AND redrew the whole 1st level. Goin to break down the roof and extend the kitchen into our backyard, break walls, make a water feature....And my parents say they'll do it this december! HOLY CRAP!

Then my doctor neighbour came over to see my newly renovated third level, courtesy of my dad. Said my "penthouse was surprisingly nice" Haha! and den the 3 of us talked for awhile..and then we started talkin abt roof gardens!!! He started asking if it was possible to build one....so we dug up some blueprints of the neighbourhood's houses which we had stashed away. (dun ask me how we got em=S..=P) and i started drawin a roof garden for him...where to remove the roof, finding possible empty spaces to make the staircase.=P Guess wad..its possible for both our houses to haf a nice and big roof garden!

oh...but now we hafta get a licensed archi/contractor to see if our plans are possible and haf em draw a proper blueprint to submit for approval=P

Den it was onto BBQ with my jc class. Nice to see everyone. Everyone's pretty much the same:)

okay....im gonna plan another batam trip! Advanced-Diving trip is set for end July, and etc etc:P shld i even bother with a powerboat license?
and sumhow, dun think its working...heh...its just not trustworthy and it just doesn make one feel right...u noe?

Finally.....the weekend is here and we have our Family gathering=P haha...

All was there except 2....yansheng was away being a pillar of strength for our country (literally, he's in one of those human pyramid building stunts for NDP) and David was gettin married:P haha...(just kidding, he had to attend a wedding)

I'm too tired to upload the fotos one by one and there are abt 25 more fotos...so ill make em into a collage first.

Oh, and here are fotos from yesterday...which i dint manage to upload yesterday cuz i was too tired=P Went out with Claire after work for sum dinner and a damn stupidly funny Scary movie...heh=P

Whao...sumhow, im gettin pretty tired of uploadin fotos....esp back dated fotos. but i just love lookin at em..and sumhow i cant not complete wad i started. Anyway, its onli one more day...(not including today) IN the meantime, ill upload some fotos of wad ive been up to these few days too. Oh ,JUST had ippt this morning at my work place....and surprise surprise we're still fit! haha....but the 3 of us decided to not go crazy and took it easy for 2.4=P hence we settled for silver. HAHA..more like gold was crazy and we would haf died even before we cld get tt 2.4 timing.=P

anw...im too tired...will upload more fotos tmr morn..good night! Oh...need to burn a cd of fotos...or is it dvd=P before i go to her house tmr afternoon..haha!

Since i've been back

What have i been up to these past few days since ive come back....

Other than working at nee soon:S

too tired to comment...will just upload fotos first.=P

First day when i came back....got whisked out of my house by claire to go visit her new house!:) and in her newly owned car=P cuz she needed me to help design her room:P so we went there..sat on the floor for awhile and i drew. She then went shoppin for her winter wear.....she heeded most of my advice except the most impt one of.."I dun think u need to buy so much"=P Haha!

That was day 1. After a one day rest break...it was back to work for me, in the far, ulu, secluded and remote Nee Soon Camp=S After work, met up with sum remaining band-aid-ers to jam....not realli jam. It sorta turned out like a hippie circle:P

Zorb Videos....
from the previous post...

They are like Giant hamster balls:) You can go haf 2 options---strapped or water.
Strapped means ur strapped inside the ball and will go round and round with the ball. Water means theres water inside and u tumble abt like a washing machine...aka a giant hamster ball:)

First was qiantai and me...damn lot of fun! we practically laffed from beginning to end...it was a tad short tho. And the air outside was freezing...luckily the water inside the zorb was nice and hot!:)

Followed by Yiuming anf Lijia=P

Sumhow the video screwed up for David...it stopped aft 12 sec...i think i accidentally pressed the button.

Lastly, it was Ningyan=P

New Zealand

Day 5

We were all sorta resigned to the fact tt we had to forgo skydiving. It had already been postponed for 4 days and i guess the receptionist was just being polite by sayin we cld still haf a chance this morning. Sounded a bit far fetched since we were gonna take the inter-city bus on to our next town destination that very mornin, at 1045

But LO AND BEHOLD!!! At no later than 815 we were whisked away, stuffed into suits, rushed into a plane and dropped off from heaven!!! WOW!!! it was unbelievable..the experience was beyond words....and it all happened sooo quickly......tt we were so shell-shocked tt it even happened...even after we landed on the ground.

We were extremely lucky too, cuz we were the onli pple who managed to skydive that day, even pple who were all ready in their suits had to be sent home, cuz of poor weather...WOW!! just WHAO!!

Day 4

Once again....no skydiving...sigh=P....BUT we had damn lot of fun cooking up a storm the whole day:) We practically visited all the supermarts in NZ. (ok..not realli)

Tip for camera users: When photographin indoors and outdoors, try to bring ur camera temp up/down gradually to reduce the formation of dew. Really screws up the foto quality. Especially in my case since i took a lot of kitchen shots. We realli smoked-out the whole kitchen and so my lens was extremely clogged up by the end of the day...hence smudgygrainy and not so good quality pics for today.

Sadly, I dint notice that the lens was terribly dirty til when i reviewed the fotos later. But i guess for memory's sake....these are still pretty good:)

Day 3

Bungy jumped!! ban jia=) and huka jetted:)

Lijia

Yiuming=) You won't believe how fearless these girls were!! They stood at the edge, looked over, and immediately after the dude said, "1,2,3" they jumped without hesitation or pauses!! The guys were super shocked!! haha....set the standards for the guys!! haha.....so in the end, the whole group of us jumped like clockwork. As though we were seasoned jumpers:P

David. He was the only one who managed to fall long enough and dip into the freezing water=P

And finally....Qiantai=)

After the first solo jumps, some of us decided to go and try tandem jumps, in hope of reaching the river below and going underwater=P

First to go was Lijia and Yiuming.

Second was Ningyan and Me...sadly they used 2 ropes and we dint manage to touch the water...sigh...We even changed into burms and shirts and froze ourselves in the open hoping to get dunked! Sigh:{

NEW ZEALAND!!!

Bungeed.
Skydived.
Huja-jetted.
Swam, trekked, tubed, climbed, abseiled and froze through underground water caves.
Zorbed.
White-water rafted.

(haha....slowly ticking off all the things i wanna do in life=P)

Shopped.
Cooked...almost every meal in fact=P

Most of all.......WONDERFUL FRIENDS!!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL PPLE WHO I"LL MISS DEARLY!

sigh.....i wonder how ill wake up tmr....i usually go toilet after qiantai...who goes aft ninyan.....who is second onli to lijia...=S and who will shake my bed at night, now tt david is no longer sleeping above me!

haha...but as we said.....its onli the start of a wonderful life-long relationship=)

okay...its 540 am....or nz 940 am.....tts why im still awake....actualli its more of i just got home and am uploading 700 plus fotos. Thank goodness i editted and sieved out a lot alrdy=P

Flying off today!....as in it's 4am now today=P

(Yesterday)Watched a movie in the afternoon. Ran some errands before the hols. Went to to have some good home cooked dinner....and out again for sum famous authentic mee sua supper.

Pretty good day:)

Am all packed except for some last minute stuff....like toothpaste and all=P

We (me included) live in a world which is too sheltered. (when i say "we", i'm making a flawed generalised statement) I find it hard to bring up issues abt the world sumtimes. People are suffering. The earthquake, the volcanic eruption, strikes, riots. Tell me, how on earth could such incidents and news lose in terms of publicity to the "arriving" of a yet to come world cup? but it does....

SAF just sent in medical teams to Indoneisia. We have teams to operate, doctors who are skilled to help, but they can't, simply because they do not have the equipment and the supplies. And here we are, doctors to be, going from hospital to hospital, clinic to clinic, trying to gather money to raise an astounding ..wad? 11 K? 20 K? 22 K? how much? for our own orientation. I do not belittle the actions and hard work my friends have put in. Its not easy raising such a sum. But we always fail to check our actions and look at the big picture. And ask, what is the point?

It's just who we are, our apathy has filled our eyes. Yes, I find myself in a situation when i hate myself sometimes. I hate just going with the flow. Yes we speak of how ridiculous the budget is. Yes, we speak of how nonsensical our lives are. Yes, we speak of how sufferings are happening around the world. Yes, we speak of how we wanna be great doctors. Yes, we speak of how we wanna help those around us. Yes, we speak of how sheltered we are. Yes, we speak of how pitiful the children in those countries are. Yes, we speak and shake our heads at the atrocities of some countries. Yes, we despise the actions of some people and the rebellions of others. But wads the point of speaking? And i am onli speaking on behalf of those who are not so ignorant enough as to not even acknowledge these occurings. Sadly, these are just the minority.

I just accepted it then, but he told me to think abt it. Yes, he's right. Only a hungry man will steal to feed his children. Only an ostracised orphan will die for the hope of a better age. Sure, we hear one sided stories of militants carrying out suicide bombs. I do not condone such actions, but still, we need to consider what will drive these people to such desperation, as to kill their lives. The fact that their lives mean nothing to them is but a testimony that they are trying to drive a point across. A point that has been falling on deaf ears. And i do not blame them for such acts of atrocities. (but once again i do not condone them) Imagine, if such extreme acts do not gain our attention, will other simpler, quieter acts make a difference? Acts which i am pretty sure they have already tried but failed.

We are sheltered.

I am.

No matter how much hardship i go through, no matter how many people i help, i will never deny that i am much better off than most people out there. I have food, I have water, I have clothes, I have parents, I have friends, I have shelter, and i have my rights. In other words, I have everything.

Yes, we will suffer at times. Yes we will go through our own forms of trials and tribulations. We may even think that our own walks of faith/desperations are the worst in the world. I did feel that way once. But that's only because we are so myopic as to only see ourselves as the centre of the universe and compare ourselves with those better off than us.

For that, after discussing with such rare people, i realised why he is always happy, why friends only see an unbothered, smiling side to him. I realised why he never fails to help others. I understood why his private life stays where it is...private. Why noone seems to know his troubles, like he never has any.

It's nice to meet such people. A baby's innocence coupled with a child's compassion, with the strength, determination and fortitude of an unflinching warrior.

It doesn't take much for evil to triumph. All it takes are for good men to do nothing.

Interesting to read through some of my old (really old) scribblings, interesting to recall things ive forgotten. Interesting to remember memories that have shaped the person who i've become. Interesting to see the person i have become. Staying at home does have its perks, somehow i think slightly different things than when i do during late nights everyday.

Sigh.....cant believe i threw away 2 yrs of my life, because i was ashamed of those 2 yrs. Because i hated wad i wrote and never wanted me nor anyone else to read that diary.

Day 1 using my new cam:P

Woke up for choir...unfortunately it rained pretty heavily and i dint haf an umbrella...sigh.
So i was pretty wet for choir.

Dint take much fotos cuz i forgot to charge the battery last night.

The above foto were of wet pple who got caught in the rain. After which, some of us then made our journey across Singapore for sum realli good Fish Head Curry at Siglap. All of you shld go and try----Rajah's Curry at Jln Tua Kong....damn good=)

Fun day at Sentosa.

Due to the fact that i am broke, i was determined to be thrifty today. So i grabbed a packet of Cereal before rushing out of the house. That was my lunch:P

Met new faces at Sentosa.=)

Oh, and we embarked on another sandcastle building project after a little urging from bean! and Aileen=P. Today's sandcastle turned out pretty nice...in a different way from the humungous project we did the one before. This one had a lot more details and sumhow had a "grander" effect...in a different way.

Then a surprise fondue gathering at Celene's house:P after a short stop over at joel's house....where he showed us some cool stuff he got from his stint in ns:P

The embankment could not withstand the rising tide and the incoming waves. So Eugene decided to be a breakwater!=P

And some water managed to breach the walls! luckily, the castle was finished by then and the water did minimal damage---callapsed a bit of the stairs, which was easily repaired.

After dinner at Scotts, it was onto Joel's House for awhile---where he showed us pretty cook stuff, such as rambo daggers, his sword, plaques, medals..etc=) We were then rushed by Celene to go to her house for some warm chocolate fondue ...and even warmer conversations:)

AND!!! HP gave me a WHOLE NEW CAMERA! Serious...its a WHOLE NEW CAMERA! not like replace some parts here and there...but a total replacement. I am impressed.....period.

First time at Zouk...!:)

Ok...it doesnt realli count. Cuz i went there in the afternoon, and it was having some flea markt thing in the club. So the whole place was lighted up brightly, and there were mats and stalls selling all kinds of stuff.

Went there to support Diyanah! My train buddy=) She actualli set up a booth there selling personalized photo journals! Nice!! ended up buying 2=P

But forgot the shirt...haha! Need to meet her sum other time to collect the shirt she made for me!!

After a short hi/bye sesson at Zouk (cuz we got lost, the place is damn ulu! wonder why anyone wld wanna club there) I rushed back all the way to the east, to meet sum ex jc classmates for a birthday celebration=)

No camera...

Family camera had to be taken by my mum for more impt reasons and since my own camera has yet to be delivered back to me......i had no camera today....bleagh. Can't wait to get back my cam! looks like i can delay the buying of a new cam.

Weird having those moments when my head screams out..."foto op!", only to realise that i have no cam. Nice day nonetheless.....Finally did sumthg that i haven realli done in the past. haha!

Good day with good company. Looks like im gonna cure this retarded phobia of mine! or mebbe not.....=P

Drum lessons were pretty good too!:P but ill be gone for a good whole 1.5 months before my next lesson=S

Finally....some sleep!!

Managed to sleep til 1 plus pm...Satisfied=)

Well, I think the new band is not bad. Just need to work out some kinks and get used to each other's style and i think we should be on our way. Otherwise, i think it was pretty good for a first time get-together=) It was nice just listening to Yinghao and Jeffrey jam away to Hotel California. And i might be playing the bongos! That will def be a new experience and nice expansion from the standard drumset!

Got invited by Nat, while i was out, to go to her Pot-luck party. At first i wasn't sure, cuz i wasn't dressed properly nor did i prepare anything to bring----knew that i wld feel bad just goin there and eat without contributing. But she was very nice abt everything and since it was pretty convenient, i guess i got persuaded=) Ended up going there and playing some squash,and finishin the chicken curry that mark brought=P

The famous sign that can only be found in this stuido. Apparently quite a few bands use this studio, and according to kenneth, sum pretty good singapore bands too. Go you-tube, u'll see some other jammers in a room with this poster:P Well, i finally asked the uncle wad does underground music mean. He held out his hands, made a cross and turned it upside down. HAHA...damn funny!

After which, it was on to Nat's house=) cards..tennis.... Squash....as u can see, we were all unprepared to play sports...so we just played in wadever we were in=P

AND...i love Hp...just gotta love tt company. They were late in the delivery....and so i called. This is what they said..."oh, the engineers actually did a full check up on ur camera...and it really can't focus as u said. So we are in the process of replacing the parts or your camera. So is it okay we deliver to your house on monday?"

".......Sure"

The best part? I dun need to pay a cent.

I hate being #$%^&* broke....need sum money to cut my mop of a hair before NZ!

Wierd shit....

okay, this incident warrants a post.
I went down to take sum food. It was around 230am. Anyway, when i picked up a can, 2 lizards jumped out from under the can and scared the living daylights out of me. Sympathetics discharged and all, i just grabbed the nearest newspaper and squished em both. I think they must have been mating, cuz i heard that irritating cackling noise (like sum kid laffin away). Well, wad a way to die huh? At least they died happy i guess.

Well, after that i went to the fridge to get sum food. And, seriousliy, like 2 screwing lizards weren't enough. I had to turn round and find a snake slithering on the floor. Too bad for that bugger man, my adrenaline was pumping and my sypathetics had alrdy gone off and exploded like the challenger. I grabbed the broom and started smashing the shit out of the snake. Literally. Realised i practically chased the snake all around the kichen.

Whao....wonder wads happenin tonight. Reptile convention? It's usually so hard to find ants in my house....maybe a cockroach once in awhile in the kitchen..but tonight?

heh...sadly i left their remains on the floor, grabbed sum bran and cheese and went up to watch kenny get killed in South Park. Weird night man.

Hmmm......nah...dun think ill walk all the way down at 3 am just to take a foto. Mebbe tmr if their crap are still on the floor. But they'll definitely be cleaned up by then.

If i ever had a hangover...i think it would feel like this.

Woke up late..bleagh. In fact, I had a surprise wake up call, personally, by Miss Hweeying! aiyo...paiseh:P haha...was soo surprised to see u=P and yes...i owe u twenty treats!! Sorry!=P

After some practice at Kenneth's house, it was studio time!
Jamming today saw quite a few new faces too. Hweeying, Liyana and Zhihan. Sadly, sumhow everyone wasn't in the mood=S Siva had to leave early with hweeying and li for sum meeting. Wm had diving lessons at night and i was in a semi comatose state...heh. However, we still felt sum highs here n there once in while. So while the rest disbanded and went their seperate ways...i went home to SLEEP!=) A pity that the new pple had to come on our low-energy days.

Of food and Friends.

Spent the whole day out til 3/4am man..

Met the remainder of the dancers in Singapore to go ice skating. Had a pretty good time there despite it being crowded. Managed to do some spins and cross-overs....though v v basic. Reminded me of the times back in JC when i used to go ice-skating pretty often with ruifen and learn sum cool stuff.

Well, after that we walked to gluttons square and seriously pigged out! Char Kway Teow, Hokkien Mee, BBQ chicken wings, Satay, Carrot cake, Oyster Omellete...etc.

Whao...then sum ice cream at the one of the nicest macs ive seen so far.

Had to rush home aft dinner....though only for a few minutes. Cuz i needed to get the car and do sum last minute calling, and i was out again to pick up pple for an easties supper.... Heh. Pretty happy, in fact, i was surprised with the number of pple who turned up man. Considering it was a last minute thing..whao.and tt i only smsed em that same morning...was realli glad tt pple actualli did come down. Went to Geylang to try the famous Beef Kway Teow and Frog porridge. Both of em lived up to their name. Even Hon, Kailyn, and one of their sec 4 classmate came down all the way from mambo. =P

After that we went for a drive to Old changi Hospital. Nothing much there. Walked around and then out. Then it was a short supper at Changi Village. Chit chatted and we went into the cars and drove back:)

Heh, I cant believe i just narrated the whole day like sum tape-recorder..sheesh. Must be the half frozen/asleep brain speakin. It's alrdy 5 am and i gotta wake up early for band prac tmr...sigh. Okay....good night! Will upload fotos tmr.

After which it was time for some beef kway teow and frog porridge...=)

And our next supper has been set for next week? Tuesday. It'll be at the East...Okay it's not exactly supper. It'll be in KTV in the afternoon and dinner in the east. This time we're gonna try a mean Fish Head Curry at Siglap. Yup..All's welcome. It's dinner-time, so i guess it'll be pretty convenient for everyone.
