• For my friends, both new and old-----for teaching me lessons, showing me humility, giving me self esteem, making me feel accepted, pushing me when i was down, pulling me when times were hard, dragging me when i was stubborn, laughing with me when i wasn't funny, putting up with me when i was crappy or nonsensical, showing me what respect means.
• For the experience----sad times that gave compassion, happy times that renewed our souls, rough patches that made us look deep inside ourselves. easy patches that allowed me to catch my breath in between.
• For not making it so hard and not letting me give up too much of myself.
• For giving me hope.
• For health---despite the illnesses here and there, thank you for watching over me and protecting me from major illnesses.
• For the opportunities---the chance to study, the chance to prove, the chance to fight, the chance to help, the chance to excel, the chance to make a difference. All i ask is i never be jaded and will always be ready to take up these chances---and realise that these are chances that others would die for but just weren't plain lucky.

2007:

I pray for:

• No more silly misunderstandings---May lost friendships be rekindled. May good friends that faded into grey be found once again.
• For open-ness, trust and comfort----I pray that everyone will grow up holding onto the child within them. Never let jealousy overtake us; nor let loneliness and pride to prevent us from reaching out; Nor let revenge cloud our hearts; Nor let past experiences hurt our decisions too much. I pray that we still have idealistic ideals. To make medicine a great place for everyone...heck...to make the world a wonderful place. Let's be niave and idealistic, with the knowledge that our dreams, hopes and hearts won't be shattered.
• For maturity and the discipline to always look for the lessons that come with each fall---that no matter how hard the fall, we are able to pick ourselves up and continue walking=)
• For Love
• For peace in our families=)
• For health.
• For compassion, sympathy and humility---The ability to recognise that behind a smile is a hidden tear. The ability to put aside the laughter and noise and hear the sniffle at times. To be able to put time aside from our hectic schedules and books to always notice our friends---friends who are struggling to accomplish the same things as we are, but with a heavy heart. May we always be there to share their burdens. And likewise, may they be there to share my burden when i go through that.
• For chances----A chance at our dreams, a chance for our hopes, a chance for love.
