Happy Birthday Yiuming=)

The past week was super tiring...came back late a lot of nights...and was too dead tired to upload photos. Well, here they are now=) can't realli remember what events there were....but the most impt one was yiuming's 21st!=) a nice comfortable steam boat=) so here are the photos...







ok..got a match tmr..and blogger is being slow...will upload more another time.....

Oh and simpsons has got to be the most random movie ever....but funny..heh. Decided to MAKE time for a movie break..
SGH colorectal is just one super nice department, with fantastic and inspiring pple...all the way from housemen to consultants=)

Saturday................

The saddest thing is waking up one morning and wondering when you let yourself stop getting affected by the death of another person.

Because it isnt just about not letting ourselves get affected...but the fact tt we're slowly being desensitized until lo and behold....we wake up one day and we dont even know when it all happened....when the loss of another life is just tt.....another one...

Does that mean we're less of a human when we are able to laugh and DECIDE when it's over....when to stop fighting.....that it was just a failed mission...and walk away

I don't doubt the capabilities of the surgeons, the A&E docs and everybody...in fact i know they are good, which makes me wonder if how they behave is ok....but there were other patients AWAKE who cld see whatever was happenin on our side...who cld see how they were behaving over the unconscious patient...

After talkin to some others...i realised tt sometimes its important to put on a show....not just so tt u wont get sued....but more so, out of respect for another person, tt this person trusted u with his/her loved one....trusted u tt uve tried everything u cld to keep him/her here as comfortable as possible.....tt u did fight for them....as much as they would have IF THEY JUST KNEW HOW. So that these pple can go home knowing tt it WAS THEIR TIME....so that they could just have THAT peace of mind....

Because sometimes it isnt so much about US knowing tt nothing else could be done, but letting THEM know tt all has been done....

Sometimes its all abt the show? for their families and loved ones...

Because this MIGHT be the first time that they are experiencing death....

I used to wonder if i wld say a little prayer that i would not be affected by the deaths around me....

But tts no longer what i want..

instead, please do not let me become jaded and desensitized...please let me treasure each life as precious.....but give me the strength to move on....

....because no life should end with a whisper....

"i hope tonight's night call is gonna be exciting! I hope we get to see interesting stuff"

In our excitement, we sometimes forget tt these are lives we're talkin abt....and these are the first few small steps we take in becoming desensitized.....

A balance....tts what they call it? because if we choose to get as affected as a loved one....we wont function......because for the loved ones, the world can stop for those moments--be it hours, days, weeks or months....but for doctors, we have to walk out of there, and see someone else, treat another sick patient, discharge another happy patient, alay another worried patient...for doctors, the world keeps spinning.....

But yet again....

Please don't let me be less of a human..

Went back to NUS to visit the juniors...and Happy Birthday Weixiang=)





Went down to ICA at lavender for my citizenship interview....Sadly, my form was short of ONE rubber stamp from my manpower officer. Despite numerous phonecalls being carried out by pple above me to pple in the immigration dept, there was just too much redtape....and tho they were willing to let me have the interview today, i still had to come down another day with the completed form.....






and so....i decided tt i shall just stick to being a malaysian for a few more weeks=P




After which , my small cg went to billy bomber's for the 3-for-2 lunch=)






And finally after we ended our day at 7 plus, we decided to pop by nus at the last min to visit medicamp....where weixiang's bday was being celebrated..heh=P






















hospita life is damn tiring.....im dead tired...and i realli need to get rid of my cough, cold and blocked nose!

My com is cured!

All possible worms and viruses have been eradicated from my com=) It's super fast now=)Unfortunately, it also means tt everything was wiped out=S Spent the whole of yesterday reinstalling everything. But til i get everything in place, my com wont have any fotos nor songs...it doesn even haf the software to upload fotos onto my com....

Harry Potter was a disappointment, JC Track and Field Finals are tmr! All the best to my sis=)

And i have received yet another reminder to settle my citizenship SOON....think ill go down to lavander this thurs.

Saturday.....

Dint manage to sleep in...=S and the floorball game sucked whatever remaining life there was out of me=S sigh...well at least we got our 3 points.


Met up with RJ councillors...so nice to see everyone and hearing nice stories of adventures from around the world=) to see everyone doing well...i sincerely hope all of u stay wonderful and get whatever you may dream of!










Well, weekeneds have become the ONLY time in the week for some quiet time....

First game of the floorball season....

Well, first time we met up as a team..heh

Final score....5-4. Lost.

But we had one goal that got denied by kayu referees, 3 one-on-ones that we missed. and 2 min of playtime with one player short. But either way, we need to improve our game.

Good workout nonetheless. I need more sleep!


Went video ezy again.....which means i got yet another 4 movies to watch by next sat. hmmm..=S think ill stay back in skl tmr to study....

HAHA..i found it! Holy crap

China pple!!! After a looong time of random keywords typing...i found THE song. heh. Feels like im battling the bags at the back of the van all over again! sigh...this has undoubtedly become the SONG OF CHINA.

Sorry to those who have no idea wad im talkin abt....=P


It's IMPOSSIBLE to find the REMIX song.=S Finding a song with just the word "REMIX" aint gonna work....

Happy Birthday CELENE!!!=) Today was Celene's bday party....but before that Sam the man had some gig at his friend's bday party too and asked some of us from the band to go over and play....here are some photos.










Sadly, the birthday party started really late and ended really late, so we only reached Celene's house at abt 10=S but judging by the tables, food and music...i bet it was pretty good=P






shall go eat instant noodles:P and watch blood diamond tonight before i return the dvds=P
